Children
Course Aims
- To teach skills involved in talking to children and young
people about death, dying and bereavement
- To teach skills necessary for counselling individual bereaved
children and young people (3-18)
- To provide internship training in facilitating therapy groups
for bereaved children and young people (3-18)
Prerequisites
- Undergraduate degree in education/health/welfare area, or
equivalent
- 6 day course "Working with Bereaved Children"
+ "Working with Bereaved/Dying Adults" - 3 days
Time Frame
Internship Contract - 2 Years
Hours Involved
Approximately 10 hours per week, comprised of group work, individual
counselling, preparation, de-briefing, clinical supervision, written
assignments and required reading.

Cost
$2,200/per year (inc GST) - Payable in advance

This course is by invitation only after completion of prerequisites,
application and selection interview with trainer/s.
