This certificate will be awarded as appropriate to counsellors who, for at least two years post-graduation have demonstrated:

• A genuine commitment to improving the well being of bereaved people
• Willingness to provide a voluntary counselling service for bereaved people
• A realistic appraisal of their own level of skill
• Clinical competence and a disciplined approach to continued acquisition of bereavement counselling skills
• Genuine commitment to ongoing involvement in clinical supervision
• Maintenance of high ethical standards
