Everyone here today deserves to acknowledge they knew Joanne Mackay

She touched so many lives in so many different ways and was loved by so many people

You could trust that what Joanne shared with you came from alot of prayer, a history of knowing God on an intimate level and a heart devoted to those she loved

19 years ago I had the privilege of starting a friendship with her

We shared and endured living space, families, the pain of growing up and really bad hairstyles

We were very passionate about our friendship and we were passionate about our fights, many a time jo's parents refereed

15 years ago Jo chose to make a career from nursing

14 years ago we made a commitment to have God in our lives

12 years ago Jo met Brad, a love affair that would never end began

8 years ago Angus was born, the light of her life

6 years ago Bria was born, the special daughter

Jo's bible is a special bible it's a mums devotional bible and at the front it asks what I enjoy most about being a mother, Jo wrote the word EVERYTHING

17 months ago Jo's battle with Breast Cancer began and 4 weeks ago she lost that battle

Jo wasn't scared, she knew where she was going, she knew that because of her love and devotion the Jesus, that she would be with God in Heaven and she is there waiting for us

I for one will continue my walk with christianity not only for the love of God, but I wouldn't give up the opportunity to spend eternity with Jo for anything

Jo represented everything God wants us to see and know

our lives are blessed because of her and because so many of us loved her so many of us will miss her

Jo left us with the responsibility to live our lives in a Godly way
