We had a tough time together, but you worked hard to keep me as a baby, without any help from my father. You were proud of my singing achievements and very proud when I had your grandchildren, and later when I ran with the Olympic touch you told everyone. You reached out for love from others which in the end hurt me, so we drifted apart, until Nana who had been our Mother Grandmother and best friend passed away. Then you came to live with Joss & me and our family of three. We started to come closer then came that fatal day when I was told there was nothing the doctors or myself could do for you as you had lung cancer. But even knowing that, you battled on and kept me strong so I could look after you. You and Joss enjoy your Seniors club until it was time for you to rest on 2nd Dec 2000. I only wish we had not lost those middle years so we could have said everything to each other that needed to be said. I will remember you with love always. GAIL
