I'm Kate and I'm 11 years old.

My mum died on December 24 (christmas eve) 2000. She just missed christmas.

She was in hospital and told me she couldn't make it on christms because she was recovoring in hospital and she said that my brother, her and I would have our own christmas when she got out.

But then on christmas eve i was at my grandma's with the rest of my family when a police officer came to our door and told us that my mum had died.

I cried for ages and still am sad.
